Chimney Pots

Our roof, or at least the part of it over our bedroom, was finished yesterday so had to go up to check. Very pleased with the work done. The roofer also fixed one or two bits on the main roof and our chimney pot for our living room which comes out on a neighbour's roof. One of those crazy things that happens when a biggish house is divided up. One of these pots used to serve a stove in another room but that has been taken out. No idea what the other three were for. There are some signs that at one time there was a fire in the entrance hall. Perhaps at one time there were fireplaces in the bedrooms. I know from the 19th century census that the family had several servants so fires are a really good idea when it's somebody else's job to light them and service them. Back blipped.
