Egyptian splendour in Edinburgh

I used to live directly opposite this building which is on Beaverhall Road in Edinburgh. There is a pretty plain, red brick box warehouse adorned with an Egyptian mural which runs for about 100 yards or so. This segment looks like the entrance to a classical tomb, but actually leads to an Indian food distributors premises. It always made me smile as I passed by and the artwork stuck out so much as the area was pretty industrial at the time. My main thoughts were always why it was there, who commissioned it and who completed the work.......
