Elephant orphanage

So today was the start of the tour and we headed north towards an elephant orphanage where they look after approx 65 elephants who are orphaned due to farmer attacks or injured due to treading on landlines left over from the conflict.

We then travelled a further 3ish hours up to our first Buddhist temple of the trip. Climbing on hot rock/steps in 30+degrees heat is painful....in bare feet!
