The Dress

When we are out and about we are so often too busy to look up. These old shops are beautiful and could tell so many stories if only they could speak. My story is about the shop in the middle of the three. Over fourty years ago it was a dress shop and it was in this shop that I bought my first maternity dress. It was so special to me because a maternity dress was a bit like a badge of honour. Not only were you old enough to vote and get married without your parents permission but you were PREGNANT !! I even remember that this dress was made by a company called Baby Love. I can't remeber what I did with the dress when I grew out of it.
