Spring hopes eternal!

I went in search of shadows and all I got was this lousy blossom! Seriously, it is a gloriously sunny almost-warm day here today, there are lots of shadows and sunny spots and blooms and buds and birds - not a speck of wind or a cloud in the sky! What a change from the last week or so. Liza appreciated getting out for a run, even though I made her get a nail trim first (her least favorite thing to do).

This is a magnolia tree in the neighborhood, a small tree next to the sidewalk, so I could get right up next to it. I love the little furry catkins and the soft white petals.

Mostly I wanted to prove that we do have blue skies in Portland - occasionally!
