Plum Tree Blossom?

The blossom is no problem, in fact it looks beautiful.

However, when a plum tree flowers in the early spring, it will be covered in blossoms, and in a good year approximately 50% of the flowers will be pollinated - That's my problem . . . hundreds, if not thousands of plums falling, splashing and rotting and generally making a huge mess - BAH!
