Greyfriar's Bobby x 2

Absolutely glorious spring day today and my friend and I took the chance to have a stroll from our base at Craigwell Cottage as I had use of the parking space there today.

Up the Royal Mile, turn left at George IV Bridge and towards the Meadows we headed, spotting some tourists map-reading outside Greyfriar's Bobby (the pub) in front of which sits the wee statue of Greyfriar's Bobby (the dog).

Our destination this morning was Earthy Foods and Goods where we partook of a coffee or two and some truly excellent toast and marmalade before heading off past the newly re-opened Royal Commonwealth Pool and back to the cottage via Holyrood Park.

We've vowed to do the Salisbury Crags walk soon. Will be great if we get another day like this one.
