The Phoenix Rises

On the beach

We had a house full. The extra student was collected by his parents, who were a lovely couple. We pottered after the homemade minestrone and took Claudette out to tune her new TV.
We headed out to Burleigh sands and watched the comings and goings of runners, walkers and their dogs, pushchairs and cyclists. It is a busy rest spot and no more so than today, with gorgeous weather and an organised race going on.

We sauntered back to Claudette and headed home to sufffer another unispiring Malaysian Grand Prix.
Afterwards we headed out for a run on our bikes. Ally's was creaking somewhat, so after a Rum and raisin treat at Milnathort, we headed home. Ally did a spot of maintenance on his bike and his bike fell silent.

It's lovely to have the lads home again, even if it's just for a week. I just wish they wouldn't say things like," It's great to have some real food for a change."
