Here is the procession which starts the annual Woodbridge Civic Service, processing. A long line of Mayors - plus some other less colourful dignitaries - starts at the Tudor shirehall and snakes around the medieval market square before arriving at the church .

At the service today, local resident and ex- Beirut hostage, John McCarthy spoke really movingly about his personal experiences, about how lucky he felt he was after such experiences to return to the friends and family and the supportive environment that is Britain. About those so much less lucky - and about the Freedom from Torture Foundation of which he is Patron
