A Writer's Life

By Awriterslife

A sliver of moon

It was a day of random thoughts:
What do you say when a doctor compliments your breasts?
Right. No use calling my grandmother after my appointment to stop by on my way home, as I sometimes did after a doctor's appointment.
Can you be happy to see someone (my dear cousin from Austria) if the reason you are seeing them is the death of a loved one?
Shouldn't I just be talking more than I am right now?
Do I have to?

It wasn't a bad day. Just a "I'm not ready to go back to real life just this moment" kind of day. Tomorrow, funeral parlor. I get to "see" my grandmother, and I really need that.

Smile, shake hands, kiss, hug, say thank you. Repeat. Appreciate.
