Predator Alert!

I saw ten paradise shelducks rising from the field, honking and shrieking in alarm. A moment later a harrier hawk appeared, flying among them. Three ducks circled away while the rest settled this side of the newly burnt stubble hillside. Foiled, the hawk soared off out of sight, and the three ducks joined the others on the hillside.
