Trawler

We were back, in Orkney and Shetland, to more normal weather for the season- cold and wet. I walked through Stromness and along the shore as far as Breckness, then back. Got quite wet and there weren't any migrant birds, though I liked a flight of nine gannets and the three Iceland gulls.

This is the trawler Norlantean II. She came out of Stromness and was heading back in a few hours later so maybe they were just testing the engine or something. The wee lighthouse is north Graemsay low lighthouse. The structure to its right is part of WWII coastal defences.
