Brave Blue World

Climbing bears.

If you squint and poke yourself in the eye, they could just about be some intrepid ursine adventurers. They are, of course, the Common Reedmace, Typha latifolia (sometimes known as Bullrush) and the rhizomes are edible. Edible! I'm having some of that to barbecue.

Appointment at Tetbury resulted in an admission for another arthroscopy and 10,000 mile service booked. MY PCL is in good condition, as are the collateral ligaments. Unfortunately I am minus an anterior cruciate ligament (already knew that) and the meniscus is getting thinner. BUT! The degradation is apparently not as bad as thought.

I celebrated by going to the gym, cycling 20km, rowing 2k (level ten natch) and lifting enough iron to make my arms all wobbly and useless for half an hour.

Felt good for it though.
