Peacock at Nunnington Hall

A fascinating insight into the work of Royal photographer Lord Lichfield has gone on show at Nunnington Hall.

Took a trip there to see the exhibition, entitled Through Lichfield's Lens.

It is made up of the late Lord Litchfield's Polaroid boards, which until now, have never been seen outside his London studio.

It includes a wide variety of the Polaroids, and features fashion and beauty shots and royal assignments, with other subjects ranging from cars to calendars and advertising to editorial snaps.

The exhibition can be seen until Tuesday, May 8, at the National Trust property near Helmsley, North Yorkshire.

The bonus was seeing the sheltered walled gardens, with spring flowering organic meadows, orchards and the flamboyant peacocks.
