Dawlish

Final day of the early Summer (according to the weather forecast). Sat on the balcony admiring the sea for a while this morning (and taking one or two photos) then we went off to Dawlish to meet Colin for lunch. Found a nice spot beyond Boat Cove to eat our sandwiches and take some more photos.

After lunch walked along the sea wall towards Dawlish Warren, Dylan became hot and tired after a while and we returned to the town to find shade and coffee. Walked up by the stream and took some photos of the black swans.

After coffee drove back to The Ness for a pint of Badger's Firkin Fox, very nice, view pint.

I find it quite difficult each evening to decide which photo to publish (not that they're all good, it's just which is most suitable!). This is a picture of the rock outcrop along the Dawlish coast. A heat haze covers the cliffs but I think the effect is OK.
