Round and round

Went to San Francisco tonight with my father to meet up with my 15-year-old cousin, whom I hadn't seen since she was a toddler. I was delighted to meet the confident, gracious, good-spirited woman she is becoming. I was also a bit horrified to find myself saying regrettable grown-up things such as "Oh my goodness, you are so big now!"

This is the awesome double-decker merry-go-round at Pier 39, along the bayfront. I like this carousel because they have not just horses and horse-like animals to ride, but dolphins, bunnies, and a panda bear! Just messing around with shutter speed here.

And so it is that I have returned to California....
