The hatchet job

We were having such a lovely day - a leisurely stroll into Stockbridge, browsing the shops and lunch at Pizza Express, bumping into various friends along the way. Then it all went horribly wrong.

We have some family photos being taken tomorrow and whilst A's hair was ok, I thought it could do with a bit of a tidy up. Instead of going back to the place where she had her last haircut, we instead went to a local hairdresser who had a space at short notice.

This was A playing in the hairdressers, pre-cut. She was having good fun playing with the curlers and the girls there were lovely with her. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for their hairdressing abilities. I could honestly cry at what an awful job they have done with her hair. It's a 70's Bay City Rollers inspired cut, a look that should never be seen on a two and a half year old. I was in such shock I didn't know what to say so didn't complain and paid £15 for the hatchet job, but the full horror of it is now apparent and I will be going in to complain on Monday.

Just the kind of haircut you want for your family portrait! A - this will be the first of many a bad haircut over the years, but I can only apologise for letting an incompetent make such a botch up of your beautiful hair on this occasion.

Must now go buy a multitude of hats for tomorrow...
