On to Bagerhat...

From Khulna we drove south to Bagerhat, a town with UNESCO protection and some very old mosques and temples. It is also the home town of our colleague Rafiquil who kindly showed us the sights.

The mosque in the picture is a popular pilgrimage site and there is a large pond that is beyond the second arch in the photo where people come to bathe. Bathing is in a cordoned off section of the pond though as there are apparently a couple of crocs living in there too.
