Another load of pollards

Does every post have to obliquely pun on some version of gonad or other? I hope not - but I note it as a worrying trend.
I do feel for the trees when they are so heavily cut back - I mean, I realise that we have to ensure that they remember who the dominant species is, by walling them in with tarmacadam and pranging them with occassional buses - but this conscription-style crew cut.. quite horrific.
No wonder, for the blip, they went for the cirrus merkin to try & cover their bare pollards..
