Settlers Cottage

Many of the early Western Australian cottages have seen a better time. Most have been replaced by newer homes over the generations.

In order to preserve our early history our local council have dedicated a reserve (Allen Park) to old settler's homes. Instead of them being demolished they will buy some of these homes, restump them and transfer them to Allen Park.

The result is a small grove which closely resembles the times gone by. The grove is on the route of our Sunday walk back from croissants and baguettes at one of our favourite French cafes (Choux Cafe).

Now summer is behind us I expect I will be looking for more blips in this area.
