Ullswater

Ullswater ride 40K. Amazing day blue sky, clear views from Loadpot hill down to Ullswater, just one of those days that lifts the spirit. Set off at Lowther park throught the village of Askham, then up over Moor Divock to Loadpot and Arthurs Pike. Loadpot hill is 2000 ft high so quite a climb. Then down Barton Fell to the Eastern shore of Ullswater to Martindale church. Back from Martindale to Askham and the venue.
We got a grade one which means we averaged 10.21 k/hr and horse heartrate of 44 at the start and 42 at the finish. Not bad for a 20 year old horse and his ancient rider!
