I was happily ploughing away at the garden (getting rid of nasty weeds and other plants that don't know their place) when all of a sudden this strange wet stuff started falling out of the sky. I immediately sought shelter under a handy garden umbrella, huddling with the poodles who, like me, were equally mystified by it. Then, just as suddenly, it stopped so I returned to my destructive duties.

It wasn't long before more wetness fell, forcing me to take lunch while the windows were battered by even more of it. It wasn't until I watched the London weather that I realised what it was.

It has been a long time...
