Trang Tien Bridge, Hue

The Trang Tien Bridge spans the Perfume River which flows through the centre of Hue. It is lit at night and changes colour every few seconds.

The Perfume River is so called because, in the Autumn, flowers from the orchards fall into the water giving the river a perfumed aroma.

The Perfume River is also a famous landmark of the Tet Offensive, when the US Marines attacked and defeated the Vietcong forces in 1968.
