Lions

Today was the national day of Catalunya, which meant that there were some speeches and a free concert in the evening and a fountain show in front of the Palau Nacional. Sadly it also meant that almost everything was closed in the afternoon, so after sitting in the Parc de la Ciutadella for a while, I decided to go to the zoo, which was pretty good. I always have double feelings when visiting a zoo, partly I like seeing the animals, but in a way it is sad too.. especially in these city zoos where the animals do not have a lot of space.. It does give you the opportunity though to see and photograph animals up close, which is quite nice.
