Cafe' Society in Poynton

Café Society in Poynton. Back in Poynton for a few days. We left here 40 years ago when it was a very different place, with a population of 10000. In the 1900s the village had 20 shops and a population of 2000. Now it has 200 shops and a population of 20000. It also has a café society and this is just one of many restaurants and cafes on the main street. 41 Park Lane used to be a private house until 1970, part of a terrace called Alderley View. It has been a restaurant since 1980, firstly Herbs, a high class English restaurant, then Valentino's and now the Tarantella Italian Restaurant.
