Few-flowered leek/garlic

Allium paradoxum
I have seen this called both leek and garlic. It's an Allium, whatever. Always blooms well before the wild garlic/ransoms and always along the riverbank rather than in great pungent drifts under the trees.
This species is an introduction from the Caucasus, but is well naturalised.

A strange asymmetrical flower stalk, and little bulbils at the top of the stem, they always look trampled and ragged, to me.
