Morning at Woodhorn Museum

Its funny isn't it how you take your own area for granted. Woodhorn Museum is only about 4 miles from where we live & this is the first time I've been. We took my Dad & my son's lovely girlfriend Mellisa came as Michael was at work.
Woodhorn was a coalmine for more than 80 years, production stopped in 1981, then in 1989 opened as a museum. If you're in the North East I would highly recommend it & whats more its free! As I was walking round talking to my dad I had been under the misunderstanding that he had just been down the pit for about a year, but it was 15 years - how didn't I know that?! As usual we ended up in the cafe & I had a lovely piece of Victoria Sandwich cake! Happy Easter.
