Quick lads, we're off again.

Easter in the village is the most important time of the year. On Good Friday, the three Religous Icons are carried from the church around the village, and back again. It can be a bit like a military exercise as the streets are quite narrow and steep in places, with low slung power cables across them. So there are official pole bearers with 20ft poles to push the cables up to allow the Icons to pass under them safetly.
But it's later in the afternoon that the village of Riogordo is famous for as it puts on the " EL PASO". A religous play acted in the open air about the life of Christ, where the parts are all played by people from the village, about 400 they reckon.
This is this years poster. It took a long time for the ladies of the committee to agree to use it because of the hairy chest.
