Wild Flowers

When I was about 8 years old my Godmother gave me a wild flower book for my birthday. It became my bible and for years I roamed the farm where I lived until I knew every wild flower and where and when it bloomed. I have remained very interested ever since

Today in Edmondsley woods I identified 18 flowers - I think the rain has brought them out - not the sun
They were, bluebell, wild garlic, wood anemone, dog's mercury, violet, jack-by-the-hedge, moschatel (town - hall - clock) wintercress, lesser celandine, coltsfoot, daisy, dandelion, violet, wood sorrel, hairy rockcress, kingcup, wild cherry and gorse.
