I love the Costa Rican road network...

Driving back from Playa Carrillo to San José took forever today - ]- huge tail backs and traffic moving at a snail's pace - and most people are away for the weekend. Allegedly.

The queue for the toll-paying highway seemed never ending, so we turned round and headed up into the hills, via the town of San Ramon, before joining another tailback heading into the Capital.
