Photographic Poeticisms

Once Young

Once I was young like you
Smiled upon and complimented
I and my siblings
Marching in order, regimented

Once my skin glowed
With the beauty and life of youth
Now it sits dry
Dessicated, wrinkled, uncouth

Once I waved in the breeze
And felt warming sun on face
But time marched
'Till I hid in shadows, a disgrace

Once I was so vibrant, alive
With forever to look forward to
A year back then
When I was young like you
