Roz and I had time to kill in town today after dropping our car off at the Kia garage in Sighthill. We had taken it to Arnold Clark who are an authorised Kia garage the other day. Despite the car being under warranty and us filling out the forms as a warranty job we were charged £80 for the repair. That night the same warning light came back on.

Now when Arnold Clark phoned us the mechanic said a couple of error codes came up, one of which may be related to driving style. On talking to Roz he explained the supposed problem, which just so happened to be the one relating to driving style and completely ignored the other code.

Anyway we picked the car up and had to pay for what was supposed to be a warranty job and, as I said, the same problem re-occurred within a few hours.

Thankfully we hadn't cancelled our booking for today. After having it for a few hours they called to say that the Diesel particulate filter needed replaced. They confirmed that not only would it be a warranty job, but that Arnold Clark should have picked it up and the job they did should have been warranty rather than paid as well.

We were really wary about using Arnold Clark as we have had nightmares with their service department in the past, but Kia head office recommended we go to them so suffice to say a major complaint will be going in as soon as we get details of what did need carried out.

Anyway, while we were killing time we nipped into St Cuthbert's Church at the West End for a look as I'd never been in. Roz had been before and was always taken with this stained glass window as it really stood out from the others. It turns out that was because it was a Tiffany window specially made for the church, one of only five in the country.
