Cumbria Here I Come

White Bridge

I had 10 minutes to spare at Dalston this morning so decided to blip the white bridge which goes over the River Caldew. It was built in 1899 and reconstructed in 1999.

I'm so glad I took the shot when I did as shortly afterwards the skies darkened and it rained for the rest of the day with lots of hail stone showers thrown in.

I walked Bonnie in Finlandrigg Woods on the way home this afternoon not expecting to get out the car as we both hate the rain, but as we pulled into the layby the rain stopped and we had a nice walk!
