If it ain`t broke why fix it

This is `The Curve` or part of it. It`s Leicesters newest theatre, but it`s not open yet.
The juxtaposition of this glass goliath [it`s huge] with it`s beautiful art deco and victorian neighbours is bizarre. The street where it has been built is narrow so it looms over you and dwarfs its surroundings.
There was a beautiful theatre in the city centre, quite modern outside, but typically theatrical internally.
Yet again our civic leaders decided Leicester needed something more modern, bigger [oh yes ] and with better facilities..so instead of improving the original Haymarket theatre, the close it down and pay a vast sum of money to the designer of this building.....progress, I think not
