Mousetrap!!

I was gunna post a photo of the cute cups in yet another lovely Cafe (to add to Cardiff's growing list) where we met the Rosies this afternoon but then this happened.

The story so far...

On Monday, just as my family were about to leave my Dad informed me we had a mouse in the kitchen. Great. Don't really mind mice but i do mind them in my kitchen. What to do about it though? Don't much like the idea of a half dead mice in a trap but don't much like the idea of one of those humane ones and having to carry it miles away running about in a box either!!

So anyway, Renes came back today and when making dinner put a bit of grated cheese down and it was gone within half an hour of the kithen being empty. So after dinner i decided to make sure and put a blob of peanut butter down and sat in the hallway to watch and wait (for quite a while) and eventually it appeared. So we pondered and decided it needs to go really.. but how?!! Sarah showed us a website and ideas were formed and modified and, well, this is what happened!

It was actually a lot of fun building it! I always used to want to make random clever things and apparently it's still just as fun! Though kind of freaky at the same time....

The idea is: Mousey smells peanut butter, follows his nose up the ramp, goes for the big lump at the end of the tube and tips himself to his watery demise below. Is this heartless cruelty or pure genius?!
