Spring into life
Each day brings a surprise in the garden and the camellias are looking good today having been brought on by our recent warm weather .
But then they got knocked back by a couple of nights of frosts and more to follow so these poor flowers are not going to last long.
Camellias are an evergreen eastern Asian shrub related to the tea plant, and are grown for their showy flowers and shiny leaves.
Originally from Luzon, an island in the Philippines , it was named after Joseph Kamel, a Moravian botanist (1661-1706).
