Lingering Garden

I hadn't appreciated that a feature of classic Chinese gardens is that they contain many built structures - pavilions, halls, stages, rockeries and grottoes. According to Wikipedia, one-third of the splendid Lingering Garden's space is occupied by buildings.

Although we got there early in the morning, there were a couple of noisy tour groups so I sought the sanctuary of the quiet wooded area, where this flautist was paying and a man was doing tai chi. And there was an olive-backed pipit on the grass.
