what a view....

..we had today!

today was hubbys last day off from work , we decided to take the kiddies out for the day but go somewhere that we could snap away with the camera... we choose to go to puzzle wood in the forest of dean ...its was lovely there spooky & very muddy . didn't think much of the other activities they had there and the toilet facilities were not in use :-/ but the walk round the moss covered forest was brill kids had great time getting muddy and exploring!

puzzle wood has been used to film lots of different films and tv programes...doctor who...merlin and a kids prog on cbeebies .

we stopped for lunch but didn't stay any longer as we all needed the loo....so we headed off to symonds yat rock...i have been here before but the kids were to little to remember . the sun was shining and the views were stunning we didn't see any falcons but lots of other birds. callum loved looking through the rspb scope .

time for a cuppa and an ice cream then off for a walk ...the sun was still shining but the thunder had started to rumble !!! we walked for about 1hr til we got back to the start...callum wanted to find out about joining the junior club from rspb so we walked back to the top of rock to talk to the man ....but he was gone and all we were met with were hailstones!!!! arghhhhh ian had no jacket on so we had to make a quick dash back .


we were out all day and it was beautiful....and for once the kids spent a whole day having fun with out a moan or any fighting between them (think this was a first lol)

got home cooked tea...again another first EVERY one ate the whole dinner 4 clean plates all the walking and fresh air today must have worked up an appetite.

kids in bed time for vino and rubbish tv with hubby .
