afternoon quick step...

...at the local lake

he was moving fast (i think it's a he)... i've never seen this one before - 'nor it me... he came out of the water to munch on the grasses - i noticed right away it wasn't the usual canadian geese we have around... of course, i needed to investigate... it wanted no part of that - no part of me chatting to it, either... the other geese were paying no never mind - partaking of their mid-day snack... giving a friendly honk-honk every now and again...

but this one scurried quickly away - down the hill, over the path, headed straight for the water... as i tried to get a few shots to determine if it's a goose - what kind? if it's not a goose, what is it? i know someone will have wisdom out there - to shed some light... to give knowledge - share information. regardless, it's another example of the many splendid animals of creation that give pleasure... he's a cutie for sure - that face, the markings on his body - nothing more you can ask for... a sunny day to chase an unknown bird around - making it...
