Sweltering

As promised, the heat wave has arrived. Walking with Casey is kept very brief for her sake and mine. She is the kind of dog that doesn't complain about anything. She has never made a fuss over extreme heat or cold and it's always up to me to use common sense to keep her comfortable. Her fur coat is still looking shiny and healthy. She is black lab, beagle and husky mix and this luxurious mane of fur is a telltale husky trait. It requires a daily brushing which she enjoys. We always joke how it's possible to make another small, entire dog from the fur that comes out of her mane.
