Anticipation

We are somewhere over Angola, which means in an hour or so, we'll be landing at OR Tambo and after another hour of customs crap, we'll be hugging family that we haven't seen in two years. It has been a good flight despite loud, irritating passengers on all sides and fourteen hours of airplane droning. I did what I always do on these long, trans-Atlantic flights: I wake up an hour before the captain turns the lights back on and wakes everyone up for breakfast. While I have the lavs all to myself, I do a thorough face wash. Then I walk the isles for half an hour, stretching as I go. When everyone wakes up looking like crap and feeling stiff while standing in long lines for the lav, I look marvelous.
