Less Juvenile

We were graced by flocks of king parrots and rosellas this afternoon, and I went out with telephoto lens to try to snare some.

Here's the bigger result.

As you can see in that picasa album (the first nine pics in the album, obviously), the sky behind the parrot was a bit too bright to get a shot I was really happy with. The rosellas however - in a different tree - gave me better light, and that's a good part of why I chose this blip. I also like the elegance in the curve of its head/neck, and the soft focus behind.

I'd say this is one of the juveniles that've been hanging about - and that I've blipped before - twice. It's interesting to see the change in its plumage as it's maturing.
