Basket case

I have the weekend to spend at a basket making course, I am so enjoying it. Today we made flat mats, I went in thinking how big I could make it, the end of the day showed that we only just had time to make a small coaster! I took mine home to dry, but it didn't dry :-( so I took it back the next day to dry but this is the display we were met with to inspire us, I would love to make the basket at the back right, with a lid but it takes 17 meters of plait! five strands with quite a few rushes per stand! so not feasible.
the tutors are Tim Johnson and Monica (sadly I missed her surname) but they are amazing and very very patient.
