Pretty as a Pitcher

Whizz round the botanic gardens; it was a tricky toss-up between this, a bokeh buffeted spider, and a scarecrow with his head buried underground, but the pun proved too much to resist. These pitchers are for trapping insects and boiling them down for nitrogen and phosphorous. Omnomnomnomnom. I like this species as the pitcher is an extension of the end of the leaf (you can see if you look closely).
