Getting the sparkle back

Edinburgh skyline

I'm sure this has been blipped before, but I'm blipping it anyway! Although I've lived in Edinburgh for over 30 years, I never get tired of the views.

This is the view from Princes Street Gardens, a fine green space right in the middle of Edinburgh, just by the main shopping street. This skyline is of buildings on the Royal Mile which runs from Edinburgh Castle at the top to Holyrood Palace at the foot. From right to left you can see Ramsay Gardens (the white and tan building). It's said to be the most sought-after address in Edinburgh. Edinburgh Castle is to the right of this. The spire belongs to the Hub, a former church which is now the home of the Edinburgh Festival. The dark building with two towers is the Assembly Hall of the Church of Scotland, and was the home of the Scottish Parliament until the parliament building was finished. On the far left is the Bank of Scotland with flags and a green dome, and below that is the National Gallery of Scotland.
