Red Gum

This flowering red gum is one of the most commonly planted ornamental trees from the broader eucalyptus family.

It is native to a very small area of south coastal Western Australia (measured in just 10's of kms) to the south of Walpole, 430 km south odf Perth.

It makes a sensation sight when in full blossom.

This flower has just past its peak, but is still proving very popular to the bees that seem to be taking over ownership of a lot of these plants at this time of the year.
