On reflection ....

Woke up with kookaburras having a laugh! Beautiful morning - not even a breath of air swaying the lovely trees around us - perfect - although it was a tad chilly last night! No campfires allowed as there is still a total fire ban in place.

Went for a wee wander in the "town" and waited for the shop (there is only one!) to open. Back to camp, got the boys up and headed off to Lane Poole which is a reserve on the Murray River - unsealed rough red dirt roads and lots of good picnic, kyaking and fishing spots - stopped off at one and went for a "hike" although we were assured by Mr McD that it would be a " leisurely stroll" - aye right! Vertical slope up to the top of the hill - yes ok - the view was worth it - but I hadn't taken my inhaler beforehand!! Got our breath back and started the decent! The kids LOVED it!

This piccy was taken at Baden Powell Pool on the way back to camp. Barby for tea, crosswords and sharpening of twigs with very sharp knives were the evening activities - Oh and lets not forget the vino!
