Highstreet Saturdays

Had a long day on the hills today with Chris, more of a walk than my usual running but very enjoyable, I am slightly worried that I may have broken Chris though, he didn't look to be walking great into the Indian in Ambleside!

We parked up at Patterdale and wandered uphill towards Angle Tarn and onto the Knott then on to High Street where this picture was taken. From there we headed towards the Kirkstone Pass in via Thornthwaite Crag, with it's impressive cairn and Caudale Moor.

After a quick pint of Red Screes at the Inn we headed up it's namesake then onwards via Scandale Tarn and High Becktones to Dove Crag, Hart Crag & Fairfiled. The plan was to finish over St.Sunday Crag but the wind had got up and Chriss was looking a little puffed so we headed down to Grizedae Tarn and walked out along the Coast to Coast route back to Patterdale.

We had pretty varied conditions varying from glorious sunshine to white outs with hail. I will try and blog some more pictures over the weekend.
