Chinese history

We are in Guangzhou (formerly known as Canton), a city of 14 million people, bordering the South China Sea.

The temperature is 27C, humidity 80%, and it is heavily overcast. This tropical marine monsoonal climate is in contrast to the blue skies and clear dry air that we experienced further north.

This morning we visited Dr Sun Yet-Sen Memorial Hall, built to honour the much revered first President of the Republic of China.
