Byland Abbey

I've had a wonderful day with my mum today. We drove up to Helmsley for a wander around and coffee 'n' cake. We're very lucky to have such a beautiful place like Helmsley so close to home to enjoy. On the drive home we bypassed Byland Abbey, Coxwold. The silhouette of the abbey against the bizarre, gloomy sky caught my eye immediately so I just had to blip!
